The commingled collection of containers and mixed waste is a proven way to increase recycling participation but this mix of materials needs to be separated into marketable commodities.

Creative solutions are required to reduce these costs.
The commingled system will separate commodities during the commingled process as detailed below:

The commingled waste is deposited onto the feed conveyor for sorting in the static trommel screens to separate small & large debris.

The two sets of waste are transferred to a twin picking station system for sorting prior to passing under the ferrous magnet separators.

The residual waste from both picking stations are then collated to pass into the eddy current system for separation of aluminium waste.
